Transaero Airlines’ board of director has appointed Valery Zaitsev as the new company’s CEO. The board meeting took place Oct. 23 and the results were disclosed by Interfax on Oct. 27. Transaero ceased flights Oct. 26 after its air operator’s certificate was canceled by Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, due to financial and safety concerns.
