LATAM Airline Group, a merger of Chile’s LAN Airlines and Brazil’s TAM Airlines, reported an 8.9% increase in systemwide RPKs for September against a 2% increase in ASKs. Load factor was 80.4%, up 5.1 points mainly due to a 13.7 point domestic increase in Brazil. International traffic grew 5.6% in RPKs while ASKs grew 6.1%, resulting in a slight 0.4 point decrease to 82.8% load factor.
