China Southern Airlines plans to establish a branch company in Yunnan province to further explore the tourism market in West China. It is awaiting approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Currently, the Guangzhou-based carrier has allocated three to four aircraft in the Yunnan province capital of Kunming.
