French airline Aigle Azur has launched a direct flight from Paris Orly to Kiev’s Boryspil International Airport, the capital of Ukraine, as part of an ongoing drive to expand its network.

The 3X-weekly service uses an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration, with 12 business and 168 economy class seats.

Aigle Azur CEO Frantz Yvelin said: “We are continuing to tell the story of the company by consolidating our historic routes and making use of new growth levers in Europe. The inauguration of this all-new service fits perfectly with our objective of consolidating our medium-haul network and we are … the first French airline to offer a direct link between Orly and Kiev.”
