Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways and Middle Eastern carrier Oman Air are avoiding Iraqi airspace as a result of the growing deterioration of the security situation in the country. Oman Air said Monday it plans to avoid the entire country, while Etihad will be avoiding the conflict zone in the north and west of the nation.
