Indonesia-based LCC Lion Air has been revealed as the customer for 50 Boeing 737-10s, boosting the carrier’s already massive order book for Boeing and Airbus narrowbodies.

The -10 orders were previously attributed by Boeing to an unidentified customer. The Lion Group was the first to put the 737-8 into service in 2017 and also the first to take delivery of a -9 in March.

Lion Air had about 400 narrowbodies on order before the -10s were added. The total included 209 737-9s, 121 Airbus A320neos and 65 A321neos. The aircraft will be allocated to the parent carrier as well as other affiliates in the group, including Thai Lion Air, Malindo, Batik Air and Wings Air.
